About Us

Hi, I’m Jaime — mom to Jax, a lifelong believer in the power of play, and someone who has spent her career supporting children and families through wellness, movement, and connection.

I’m originally from Boston, Massachusetts, but made my way south for the warmer weather and the welcoming, family-centered community.

As Jax entered the school system, I noticed something that changed everything for me — the play disappeared. Learning became more structured, more still, and less joyful for a child who thrives through movement, creativity, and imagination. That’s when we made the decision to homeschool, so his days could once again include building, creating, exploring, moving, and expressing himself fully.

That experience reshaped how I see childhood, learning, and what children truly need to thrive.

Why Play Matters to Me

During the pandemic, I found myself at home with a three-year-old — no classes, no playdates, no outside support. Like so many parents, I was tired, overwhelmed, and trying to hold it all together.

What surprised me most was this: our hardest days didn’t soften with more structure, rules, or activities. They softened with play.

The moments when we felt most connected — the moments of calm, laughter, and true joy — came from silliness, imagination, movement, and getting down on the floor together. Play became our language. It became regulation. It became connection. It became the way we made it through.

That season changed how I parent and how I show up for families.

Why Play Matters Here

My work has always lived at the intersection of wellness, movement, and emotional health. I’ve spent my entire career in the wellness field, and I hold a Master’s degree in Psychology. I also teach yoga to children and families, helping them build body awareness, confidence, and calm through movement and connection.

What I’ve seen again and again is this: children don’t need more pressure — they need more play.

Play is how children process the world, develop resilience, learn social skills, and feel safe in their bodies. It’s how they grow into themselves.

Our Commitment to Families

At The Tot Loft, we’re here to support the whole family — not just the child. We believe raising children was never meant to be done alone, and strong communities create strong families.

This space exists so children can be children, parents can exhale, and families can connect with one another in meaningful ways. Through open play, classes, workshops, and events, we’re building something more than a play space — we’re building a community of care.

A Space to Belong

Whether you’re here for a morning of play, a class, or a moment of connection, you belong here. We’re so glad you found us.
